According to these instructions, Lord Lloyd corresponded  :the next letter to the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs:
"  I now have the honour to inform your Excellency, on the  instructions of his Majesty's Principal Secretary of  State of Foreign Affairs, that the Palestian and Egyptian  Frontier as defined in the year 1906 will be in no way  affected by the delimitation of the Frontier of the mandated territory of Palestine."
